For the eyepiece, you can use tea-strainer as used by druid_99 on his Airwolf vent. As for the laser-pointer, I think you can get the small sized one like the ones used as keychains.

Colors? hehehe... use Alclad II. I think Dark Aluminium will look good on this piece.

Interesting. I think Xamel has given some excellent ideas. Looking at this monster from a purely painting perspective you will need to really emphasize the washes not to mention do lots of them using several dilution strengths. Possibly a satin coat to top tie everything in.

You may also want to consider doing what the AFV guys do to give a cast iron texture to their tank turrets before painting such as applying a coarse grade Mr. Surfacer. Just a thought.

Waa... nice helmet... you're going to ride a bike with that???

As for the eyepiece, I think the tea strainer I used for my Airwolf helicopter will fit just nicely. It is a metal tea strainer and if I'm not mistaken, you can get one with about 20cm diameter for less than RM5.

As for the laser pointer, I think you can use what is actually used for the helmet, an L.E.D. Better if you can get it to light up  Try to get the ones in clear and will only lights up red. I think this L.E.D will actually fit it.

xamel1975 : 'tepuk dahi'..iskkkkk..tea-strainer..why I did'nt think of that..thanks for the info..and for the color info too.

beachbum : yup..the truth is..I have to add more detail to the helmet and do some modification. It's not as good as you seen on tv and web site but it's a good kit.

kuman : the helmet is just a basic helmet..no leser n no eyepiece..I don't have the time to take the pic of it..I'll post it here later..I bought it from revengemonst..the helmet + shipping is USD80.00 = RM255.19..the cheapest Predator Celtic Helmet on market.

druid_99 : on bike..I wish   but this helmet is BIG..about the tea strainer..I will try it but some modeller told me to try use helmet visor..I'm not sure about it.

To all me friend..thanks a lot for the info and suggestions.

I check out the link to revenge monster. BIG MISTAKE!!! Lots of interesting stuff there if you're a Predator and Alien (Xenomorph) fan.

The Axerator Predator looks menacing. Pair it with 'Hunt for Hunt' piece would make it even better!

Hands itchy to order some stuff already...

Must... resist...

You can use the helmet visor but you won't be able to get the effect like the one in the picture. I think the tea strainer have that texture. You can use the helmet visor for the inside of the helmet though...

xamel1975 : POISON..POISON..buy it..buy it..but you must have PAYPAL to buy it on line..POISON SOME MORE..and it takes only 4 DAYS..I repeat again 4 DAYS to receive the item AND they will send it to you office..imigine that   ( for those who don't want to be question by minister of finance aka gastapo )

druid_99 : Do the tea strainer have the bigger size..I measure the eyepiece 3cm height x 8cm width.

Yup they have... I think the one with 20cm diameter is more than enough to make yourself 2 lens for the helmet. Otherwise, you can always buy another... it will still be less than RM10...

Judging by the looks of the piece, I think for the eye piece, you can just 'stick on' the tea-strainer mesh. You just have to make some adjustment to make it fit perfectly. Then you can drybrush the upgraded eyepiece for realism.

As for the pointer, I think you need to do a lot of drilling there before you can install the LEDs. The resin looks pretty thick around that area.

if tea strainer not big enough get the Flour Strainer lo .. if that too exspensive get Mosqitor Net lo Metal one of coz ... even cheaper ... becoz this is 1:1 scale u should look for bolder Net ...
to use.
