Description: An Interesting Approach

Hi All,

I've always enjoyed the work done by painters of Minis. Their choice of colors and innovative approach are inspiring and provide me lots of ideas for experimenting. The following is no exception. I'm not sure if I've ever put it up before but even if you're not a figure painter its still worth a visit. The lighting painted into the dio entitled "The Rescue of Sister Joan" on Page 2 is exceptional.

Always wanted to try one of this schemes. A dark Vietnam based SEAL would be just great stalking Charlie lighting a ciggy.

This guy really knows lighting inside out heh!!

I've notice the recent Pegaso release (metal figure lar) really cater for any painter to paint lighting effect. Look at the lantern hanging on the pole... Even this display unit was without lighting effect. One can imagine how the lighting shine and shadow on the leaning figure.

Moreover the figure's wearing quite a fancy outfit with multiple colors. Painting lighting effect on signle color (especially military matt base) is already a great task... on multiple color outfit will be MASTER CLASS challenge!! Gurlp!

The artist mentioned by you CP on the Pegaso figure, Danilo Cartacci incidentally has a book. I have seen a few of his work before on Pegaso figures and their amazing and really pushes the lighting effect.

For those interested in knowing a bit about his book.
