The Bridge structure and the overall size really look like the British made VOSPER Torpedo Boat special for Malaysian Navy "Perkasa"... or my mistake?

There was a short article about M'sia Scorpene sub in the papers the other day. It mentioned that vessel decommissions take place after about 30 to 40 years service.
KD Sri Terengganu had been in service 31 years according to wiki.
http://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapal_Ex-KD_Sri_TerengganuThe decomm could probably be due to its service age among the other reasons (history / tourist attraction) as cited by wiki.

but.. sadly, the boat was not well maintained, especially the interior... it amaze me how they spend Rm160 000 to baik pulih the boat then left it rotten like that.

Tamiya (correct me if I'm wrong) has produced a model kit of the Vosper Torpedo Boat "Perkasa" in 1/72 scale and Mini Hobby Models has also produced the same (copy from Tamiya's) that can be converted into this boat but not sure whether it is easily available or not.
Some difference on the Tamiya with the Mini Hobby Models is that the latter has been made to have motors and battery operated and the on-off switch is located in the deck. I would recommend the Tamiya for detail and less hassle (of course lah). ;)
