Finished this one last week. Kit is Hasegawa's beautiful 1/48 A-4L, with as many mods as I can add to make a more proper PTM. Decals are a combination of bits from F4dable, Hasegawa, Fox One and various VFA sheets applied over Gunze paints. Seat is a resin item from True Details.

Aidy..

Good build as usual.. and look like we gonna have quite a few scooters for the Merdeka line up, Maybe we can do a Ex Jaguh diorama with tarmac for the merdeka exhibition.

Aidy, looks like the Gremlin is no longer with you. You are producing models faster now.

Is this the ones that uses the wing that I've orderd for you a few months back?

Nice subtle camo work and a good addition to the growing air arm of the Malaya GB. Thomas's idea of having a runaway display sounds interesting. Perhaps a partial mockup of Sg. Besi or Kepala Batas airbase.

Off-topic
Btw Aidy I managed to get 1 of the 2 huts more or less done. I've run out of material so the 2nd hut will have to be a tent.

Aidy...

wah your production factory is busy coming Merdeka GB.. keep them coming..

hmmm looking at your Hawk... i'm beginning to wonder if my Hawk is the right representative of our Hawk.. :D

and as it seems, Thomas idea for a tarmac display seems to be a good idea also..

Hahaha! No more gremlins around here!

Imran, yes... this is the one whose replacement wing you helped order.

CK, tent pun tent lah... as long as they've got a camp we can bomb!

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

Brian,

I'm afraid that's it for this build. I ruined 3 drop tanks using what probably was a bad jar of Gunze paint (or maybe the gremlins found their way home), plus, the MLG doors interfered with the fit of drop tanks.

I know Skyhawks look weird without at least a pair of wing tanks, but I'll just have to live with it on this one.

Aidy,
I think its about the right time for us to gather 1 real shot of the kits on display so that an informative plaque can be put up next to the model. Make it more museumlike for our exhibition. Can you give yours a try?

Ex: Skyhawk..xxxx, British jet,,, blah-blah.. served in RMAF from 19-- to 19--.
etc... etc... (All in an A5 size sheet)

Is this doable?
thanks

Loo

I agree with Loo's suggestion. If we just display the kit, it'll be like another model show. At least, by having a plaque we can have some history background of the item. Much more relevant to Merdeka Group Build theme.

can we get all participants to exercise their artistic license for this? we can format the font size and layout for individual inclusion. Or else, I don't mind formatting as long as the content and photo can be emailed to me. Thanks

I agree with Loo on this, but maybe this can be discussed or mentioned in the Merdeka Group build thread rather than Aidy's thread. We might have been sidetracked a little here.

By the way, to get back on topic (I think lah)... Aidy, since you've build a lot for Merdeka GB already, I think it's time for you to get back your gremlins from me lah... I'm getting sick of it already.... always messing with my builds... <_<
