Gentlemen,
I managed to pick up a relatively good book on the Emergency entitiled, "The Malayan Emergency, Revisited 1948-1960" at MPH yesterday. Author Lt. Col ® Mohd. Azzam Mohd. Hanif Ghows.
Plus side lots and I mean lots of pics as its a pictorial history book covering a wide range of people and places during the Emergency including lesser known info. Other plus its hardcover and I suspect some of the photos are relatively rare.
Negative side it costs RM 200. Because of the wide subjects covered including a photo of women in the kampung training with I suspect Martini rifles its not a book for someone looking for specifics and in-depth detail.
Check it out if your around MPH. Not sure if its sold elsewhere.
I've seen this book at the MPH in Alamanda previously. Really wanted to get it but the price really sets me back.
When I went the other day intending to buy it the book is no longer there <_< (that time lah, maybe it has been restocked).

This same book I saw at MPH Bukit Raja in Klg going for around 180.00 or so....(during bookfair discount) was very tempting to pick myself ...but last minute did not do so....
But there is good reference in it....thats for sure
