Nice to have a new section open up...maybe we will see some new tips on car and bike modelling. Since I got poisoned by PCEvo, I picked up a Lamborgini and am itching to get started  Now if only I knew what to do first...

PcEvo - June 5, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)

Hi Kindredd...glad you are into bikes and cars now...with all the 'sifus' here, i'm sure u will get some assistant. If not then the 'clinic' meet will be a good time ;)

Hi to all cars and bike modellers (also to all cars and bike modellers "to be" :D ). Finally we have a resource page for our modelling genre.

I have a suggestion here though. Just needed your opinion on this. I think since this is a resources page, maybe to anyone who wants to give reference pictures of any subject in the future to provide it individually and not jumbled into one thread unless the link is already like that. For example, if it is a walkthrough of a Nissan Skyline R34, then put it in a thread with the name "Nissan Skyline R34 walkthrough' or something like that. Again, this is just my suggestion.

There might be some copyrighted issues on the picture posted where if this is so, maybe a link is sufficient enough.

Just my two cents. :D

Gentlemen and 1 Lady,

Imran has made an excellent suggestion as it is suppose to be a Resource section. Having help run some of the other resource sections here my advice would be to keep the threads focused on the subject. I'm sure the poster appreciates all the Thank you given but if the thread gets too long and slightly off-topic another forumer will have to search through several pages to get all the links.

Sorry I'm not pulling rank here and I apologize if I've offended anyone but the Resource section is just that, strictly for Reference rather than discussion. Perhaps any discussion can be placed on a separate thread.

Thanks everyone. We return you to your regular program.

Totally Agree with your suggestion and opinion; druid_99 and beachbum.

I guess we might get carry away here cos the subject here is a Welcome topic.

Sorry for misleading everyone.. :)

Peter, I don't have any issue on this thread lah. I'm just highlighting the things that should be done in the future if we want to keep this resource section organized.

What I'm pointing at is, there might be someone in the future that has all the resources and he decided to put it all into one thread. This will surely makes it difficult to the others to search page after page to get the link that he/she's looking for.

Example, if I were to post, lets say a walkthrough picture of my Kancil, then in the same page a walkthrough of a Perodua Kenari, then Proton Perdana, a Honda C70 and others, this will surely be a nightmare if a guy/girl wants to do a detail build of a Kenari and having to browse each time on my thread and in every page. If it is just a 3 page thread then it will not be a problem, what if the thread goes until 30 to 40 pages... I won't want to be in his/her shoes then... hehehe...

Again, I have no issues with this thread as this is a welcoming section, I was suggesting for future threads. :D I apologise if my statement is confusing. ;)

Yup. that's what I mean. It's a good start you've done with the first thread. Hopefully more is coming from you. :)
