Description: Malaysian IFV

Bomber Vince - May 22, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
Anyone has one??? bit hard to fine one online, even armorama dun have it.

I'll be building a un version, needs more reference.

Alpha7 - May 22, 2007 09:51 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure if the Adnan 'wore' UN colours but the K-200 (MIFV) did participate in IFOR and SFOR. Not many photos are available but you can find some on this thread in Militaryphotos.com

Hope it helps.

Guys,

Please advice if the MIFV uses the M-60 MG like the one Acadmy provided or otherwise....

Alpha7 - May 23, 2007 07:28 AM (GMT)
Not sure but my guess would be that we replaced the M-60s with FN-MAGs

modelstarter - May 23, 2007 07:31 AM (GMT)
the sideskirts look like a M3 bradleys sideskirt

The earliest batch (the ones deployed at The Balkans) of the KIFV (or MIFV if you like) were equipped with M-60s. I believe they have been replaced with FN MAGs nowadays.

Adrian, your link was very informative with some very rare Somalia after action pics. Thanks.

Does anyone have any walkaround pics of the UN MIFV? I can't seem to find much online.

PoohBear - June 14, 2007 01:14 AM (GMT)
Found this pic of the interior of the Korean IVF.

KIFV Interior

The interior colour is light beige?

Is our MIFV interior green or similar to the pic in the above link?

absolutely confused now looking at pics for 2 versions of the KIFV. Is the MIFV following the pics that Poohbear's is based or is it the other one which the kit is based on..ARGGGHHHH....?

master masterqq..can help out here ?

masterqq - June 20, 2007 07:48 AM (GMT)
Poohbear one is pretty much spot on....The kit one is not accurate.. :D Hope this help..

Alpha7 - June 20, 2007 08:02 AM (GMT)
There are some more interior shots of the K-200 at primeportal.net.

Another question for masterqq: some of the MIFV have their grenade launchers in 2 rows (3 launchers per row) whereas others have all 6 launchers in a single row. Any info regarding this?

PoohBear - June 20, 2007 08:19 AM (GMT)
Seems that the three tone camo version has the grenade launchers in two rows of three each. The UN version has it in single row.

That's as much as I know about this.

Alpha7 - June 20, 2007 09:33 AM (GMT)
From what I know, the MIFVs were bought specially for our UN peackeeping force. Upon their return from duty, they were refitted with new engines, etc. Was this the reason for the change in the grenade launcher configuration? Have all the MIFVs been upgraded and therefore do they all spot the new 2-row launchers?
