Hi Fellas,

After seeing Loo's Japanese on the move , Malaya in progress dio thread, it dawned on me that I have an existing uncompleted bridge diorama I could use to fit the Dodge Truck in use in the Emergency Period.

Don't ask me why suddenly got bridge one, well there was a time I was into bridges. It was about the same time the 'Pegasus' bridge dio was conceptualized. It was abandoned when I focused on 'Pegasus'.

Now it's got a new lease of life and I hope to complete it this year.

This is what it looks like out of mothballs, covered in dust. If you look closely, you will notice that I construct my dios on a completed base. My masking tape would be brittle by now and would need scraping to get it off. :lol: :lol:





Now to get the reference from Loo and I can get on with it. Incidentaly the Dodge was already constructed so it's just the figures and jungle.

Richard, aren't you glad that you join this forum? At least you can now resurrect those abandoned projects of yours.

Mixed feelings though..... I just replied to your ship thread and it'll state the reason. There's so much going on that all my old stuff is coming out of the closet like 'The Night of The Living Dead' movie or 'Thriller'.
I'm going to get swamped. You know lah how slow I build.... fainted. :unsure: :blink:

It's fun now but if I taper out then I know it's overkill.

A great "Bridge"!! Mr. rtfoe how did you build the bridge? Any armour to be placed on the bridge? Hope to see you progress .....

how's the progress?

Sorry guys, didn't reply sooner. Been busy building my progress and also 1 : 1 scale repairs at home during the hols.

Wuichong - The bridge was built entirely from balsa wood as it was the only wood soft enough to carve and cut. Besides it comes in many shapes and thickness from the art shop.
For reference, I looked at every bridge I came across especially at kampungs and villages. I used Uhu glue to stick them altogether.

Loo CK - The progress so far is the pintal mount for the bren gun has been scratched fitted and the whole Dodge is airbrushed in dark blue. From your reference that you sent me in B/W I'm assuming the dark coloured vehicles were painted the police dark blue. Lucky for me the only markings I see are only the large number plates which would be easy to replicate.
The dio has some alterations to the structure(higher and lower ground)
The figures as usual will be the major headache with the constant testing of poses. The interesting ones will be the sikhs and their turbans. I'm assuming it's in khaki with a police badge on the front.
