Becky - October 3, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
Kit of my fren, he like battleship alot but don have the patient and tools to do it. So he told me to help him to build it.
Well, i very new to battleship so juz 'play' around first.

the manual, wrong spelling there ;).

the stand

test fitting the hull, there's a very big gap there, what should i do?

If you are daring, you may cut the top piece apart( I am assuming that the top piece is a single long piece). Then shave off the material off the ends and test fit until you get a good fit again.

The detail of the ship, the quality of this kits is very bad. Need to slice n cut to make it fit in, and some of the part is out of shape
Good thing this not my kit, juz simply essemble n paint. :P

Becky, well done and happy doing this ship right? May I know what brand u are doing on?
rtfoe - November 23, 2006 04:34 AM (GMT)
Hi Becky.
Good to know someone whose brave enough to tackle ships. Way to go girl!
Judging from your WIP you're progressing well. The fact that you're willing to correct flawed fitting of the molds shows you're heading the right direction to enjoying modelling and that is attention to detail and finishing it right.
Hope you will continue to build ships even tho this particular kit is bad.
By the way what brand is it?
Are you going to leave it on the stand or put it in simulated sea?
Need more ship builders,
Richard.

Eeegh Richard, Becky is really Becky. She is our only lady modeller in this forum. :P
rtfoe - November 23, 2006 11:52 AM (GMT)
I know she is, only used the expression 'man' like in 'yeah, man'.
I'd prefer acknowledging her as a fellow modeler with no discrimination whatsoever.
May there be more roses blooming among the thorns in the future forum.
Need more ship builders, guys and girls.
