[doHTML]This is a summary of issues having to do mostly with the crafting of clothing, listed in no real order.

1. Master level items are not visible in the skill tree.

The master box and all master level items (i.e. Extremely Revealing Skirt, Fighter Flightsuit, etc.) are not visible from the skill tree.

This is affecting the other Trader specializations as well.

We still have our master-level abilities, we just cannot see the box.

2. We cannot choose our specializations.

When you become a trader, you must choose a specialization. This specialization forces you into two specific kinds of crafting, even though you may not want one of them.

Solution: allow traders to pick any two of the areas of specialization.

3. Crafting/entertainer professions are valued less than combat professions with the new respec system.

The respec system is based on combat level instead of amount of skill points used. This devalues the crafting and entertainer professions.

Solution: Base the respec system on skill points used, in order to allow noncombantants to respec to level 80 combatants, if they so desire. The current system seems to demonstrate that the devs feel that crafters and entertainers have not put as much work into their professions as combat players, and is highly offensive to us.

In a related issue, anyone, even if the character has only a novice starter profession box, is able to respec to a full mastery in a crafting or entertainer profession.

Solution: Either allow any character to respec to a mastery in any profession, or fix this error. This completely devalues all of the hard work done by members of the noncombat professions to get to where they are.

4. Domestic Goods Traders can craft Food and Chemical Crafting Tools, but not Clothing and Armor Crafting Tools.

Why should a profession be able to craft only one of the two crafting tools it needs?

On a related issue, I suggest that if the specialization groupings are kept as they are now, it would be ideal to modify the crafting tools and stations so that they match the new professions. This would create such items as Clothing and Food crafting tools and Weapon and Armor crafting stations.

5. We cannot craft BE tissues and modified clothing/food.

With the Bio-Engineer profession removed from the game, we cannot get BE tissues, and cannot make BE clothing or food.

We request that the schematics to make these tissues be added to the master Domestic Arts Trader box.

6. Existing BE clothing and tissues did not convert.

BE and other modified clothing and tissues did not convert. The modifiers are the same as they were before, and are useless in most cases. Please convert this clothing to something useful

7. Creature resources such as hide, bone, and meat now drop off of creatures at random.

This makes it exceedingly difficult for crafters. First of all, they cannot fight, so they cannot harvest their own creature resources. Second, these resources now will be available only in far smaller quantities than before.

This harms all crafting professions that use any form of creature resources.

8. New uncraftable clothing items have been added as “noob clothing” given out for free to new players, but still not craftable.

Our second highest issue on the issues list we recently submitted to the devs was the addition of new schematics for Tailors. We find it offensive that some of the items we specifically requested to be made craftable have been given to new players, yet not added as new Tailor schematics.

In addition, many of these items contain modifiers. The ability for Tailors to create modified clothing (and our chief source of income) has been taken away, and is now being given away for free.

These items include the skirt in the entertainer-ish clothing option at character creation, all of the leveling-up reward items, and other items.

9. Crafters and entertainers did not receive “Elder” titles.

We were promised that all veteran players would receive titles such as “Elder Tailor” and “Elder Chef.” Instead, only combat players have received these titles. Yet again, this is seen as a strong insult to crafters and entertainer.

10. No decay.

Although zero condition clothing has always been equippable, the Tailors have been asking for it to be made unequippable and for use-based decay to be added for a long time. It has consistently ranked in our top 5 issues.

Now decay has been removed for all items. This will cripple the in game economy. Players will have no reason to return and purchase new items. One item will last forever.

Please restore decay, otherwise the future of crafting in this game will be extremely bleak.

11. Toolbar issues

The toolbar has always been a useful resource for crafters, but it’s usefulness has now been all but removed.

First, many of us had the toolbar stretched out to create two rows of hotkeys. This is no longer possible.

Second, and more importantly, the hotkeys do not work properly. In the old system, you could just hit F1 or whatever key and the crafting tool would open. This no longer works. You must right click on the crafting tool and select an option from a drop-down list. This creates an unnecessary time sink for crafters.

Please restore the former functionality of the toolbar.

12. The interface/keymap

The new interface has been poorly received by the community. It seems as though it was only half-finished, leaving an unprofessional look.

The new keymap has had an even poorer response. Many find modal chat to be confusing and difficult. Please give us the option of switching back to the old keymap.

[/doHTML]
