Ok, I know this is really the place for a crafy idea, but I didn't know where to put it so I figured this was the closest place possible. This is a really fun craft to do and I did it myself yesterday.

The Secret of the Mysterious Book


Description: A classic Nancy Drew book with a hidden cutout to hid your most precious things!

What You'll Need: An old Nancy Drew yellow hardback book, (Make sure you have 2 copies of the book your gonna use! I had 2 of the Secret of the Old Clock, so I used the older one and kept the nice new one.) White elmers glue, A pocket knife. (Make sure you have an adult mto the part with the knife because this step is extreamly dangerous! So, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF!!!)

Steps:
1. Take your book and skip a few front pages.
2. Glue each page past that together and push really hard on each one so the pages stick together. (You have to repeat this step for each page until you get to the very end of the book. Its kinda tedious, but definatly worth it! I finished this step in 30 minutes!!! Not bad!)
3. Let it dry and stand on it, so it compacts together in one big block.
4. Have an ADULT carefully with the pocket knife, cut a large rectangle in the middle of thebig block paper. Leaving a little space around the whole rectangle. It will look like a big compartment in the middle of the pages. Take out the scrap paper in the middle and voila'! When you open the cover and flip through a few pages, you'll find the hidden compartment!!!!
